Paul Hefner
Founder, CEO and Investor
With nearly 30 years of cross-industry experience—from leading $4B product lines to guiding startups, nonprofits, and global organizations—I’ve built a career at the intersection of engineering, business strategy, and human psychology.
I began as an engineer, turning ideas into reality, and played a role in launching life-changing therapies for rare diseases. To expand my impact, I earned an MBA and partnered with senior leadership to drive initiatives from startup concepts to successful FDA approved product launches in complex, high-stakes environments.
Over time, I discovered my true passion: unlocking motivation and sustaining peak performance. Recognizing a deeper pattern: success is not just driven by strategy or execution—it’s determined by how leaders think, decide, and perform under pressure. That realization led me to focus my work on helping founders and executives operate at their true capacity.
As a trained coach and a candidate in the Harvard ALM program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, I combine behavioral science with decades of real-world leadership experience to help individuals and teams improve decision-making, sustain performance, and navigate complexity with clarity.
I am also an active angel investor in MedTech, DeepTech, and AI-driven companies. This perspective provides insight into how investors evaluate opportunities—what builds confidence, what raises concerns, and what ultimately drives funding decisions—allowing me to better prepare founders for high-stakes conversations.
