Yesterday, we honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today โ€” and every day โ€” weโ€™re called to practice the values he lived with unwavering consistency.

MLK showed the world that leadership isnโ€™t about titles, applause, or being the loudest voice in the room. Itโ€™s about something far deeper:

-Building unity and togetherness, not division.

-Leading through service, not status

-Choosing moral courage over volume

-Using love as a strategic force, not a soft ideal

-Leading by example, even when it was dangerous

He reminded us that courage often begins in the quiet moments โ€” the ones no one sees:

-Choosing fairness when shortcuts tempt you

-Standing up for someone who isnโ€™t in the room

-Telling the truth even when it complicates things

-Holding your values steady when no one would know if you didnโ€™t

But thereโ€™s another kind of leadership we donโ€™t talk about enough:

Thatโ€™s when leaders step forward with faith.

Because in those moments:

-One personโ€™s courage becomes permission for others to be brave

-One voice breaking the silence helps others find theirs

-One act of integrity shifts the tone of a room, a team, a community

MLK understood this deeply.

He knew nonviolence wasnโ€™t passive โ€” it was moral resistance in motion.

He knew doing the right thing often meant standing alone until others realized they didnโ€™t have to.

And thatโ€™s still the kind of leadership our communities, companies, and nations depend on today.

-Not leadership for ego.

-Not leadership for money.

-Not leadership for press.

-But leadership rooted in dignity, courage, and the belief that we rise by lifting others.

Every one of us faces moments โ€” sometimes small, sometimes defining โ€” where we get to choose the harder right over the easier wrong.

Those choices shape the world far more than speeches or slogans ever will.
